Kim Dempster | TEDxFultonStreet
This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. If you were taken into captivity, what dreams might you have on the first night you realized what had happened? Whether it’s an adult laborer or a girl taken for sex trafficking, you are immediately transported to those visually arresting thoughts and invited to feel what it’s like to be trapped without a voice.
In this presentation, Kim discusses how the project was created, and screens some of the public service announcements (PSAs) she created to increase global awareness.
Kim Dempster has put her unique signature on numerous media including commercials, music videos, inter-active and narrative film. She has always demonstrated a great range of emotion and connection with her audience.
Always attracted to projects with a social conscience, most recently Kim teamed up with the NGO “Freedom For All”, to create an awareness campaign against human trafficking.
