Perception: the surprising story behind potential

Zubin Sharma | TEDxEMWS

All people, be born into royalty, or into a family of farmers, are brought into this world with a little potential in their hearts. Zubin Sharma looks to bring out this potential in his village leaders to empower these villages in rural India.

Zubin graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2013 in Political Economy and South Asia Studies Zubin Sharma, is the founder of Project Potential that is building active, independent communities in rural India who are working together to achieve their self-defined goals. This is done by identifying, training, and supporting local leaders, who we call Village Visionaries. Zubin imagines a world in which we focus on strengths, not weaknesses; on solutions, not problems; and on what’s right with people, not what’s wrong. Project Potential currently has 24 Village Visionaries helping their communities realize their potential across rural Bihar, and over 70 Village Visionaries working across Bihar, Jharkand, and West Bengal by the mid-2015.
