Sanah Jivani | TEDxYouth@SanAntonio
Sanah lost all of her hair to Alopecia in the 7th grade, after which she frequently struggled with wigs, self-harm and self hate. When she finally came to grips with her imperfections at age 14, Sanah launched an international non-profit organization that teaches others to love themselves for who they are.
Sanah is a college freshman double majoring in sociology and communications at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She was the editor-in-chief of her high school newspaper, one of 30 2015 Global Teen Leaders, a Prudential Spirit of Community Award Finalist, the vice-president of the National Teen Council, the 2015 Natural High Youth of the Year, and a writer for the Smart Girls Group.
Before all of that, however, Sanah lost all of her hair to Alopecia in the 7th grade, after which she frequently struggled with wigs, self-harm and self-hate. When she finally came to grips with her imperfections at age 14, Sanah launched an international non-profit organization that teaches others to love themselves for who they are.
