Dr. Jessica E. Huber is an Associate Professor at Purdue University in the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences Department and a Certified Speech-Language Pathologist. Her research emphasis is the effects of aging and motor disorders on speech production, particularly speech breathing. She is the inventor of a new technology to improve communication in individuals with Parkinson’s disease, the SpeechVive device. The overarching goal of her work is to develop and test the effectiveness of therapies to improve the lives of individuals living with motor disorders like Parkinson’s disease. She currently serves as the Head of Graduate Education in her department, as a Faculty Fellow for the Burton Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship, and on the Internal Steering Committee for the Women’s Global Health Institute at Purdue.
